The Wests Tigers are the Australian Rugby Union Merger Club, which started its NRL season in 2000 and won its premier position in 2005. The club's name and logo are a combination of two partners. The Wests Tigers rugby shirt 2018 is a combination of black and white magpie uniforms in the western suburbs, as well as black and orange from Balmain Tigers uniforms. The logo combines the modern "tiger in your face" with the traditional Western 'V' background. There is also a magpie on both sleeves in Jersey (taken from the western suburbs).
